Description- The solution we had no longer works! If you can come up with working script please let us know. We are looking for a new anit-popup solution now! In the meantime you can use the trick below.

Special thanks to Adefigo for sending this tip in.

If you add <!--#wpad--> in your page, you will get an Ad Banner instead of a Popup window! Personally, what I like to do is put in like 50 BR tags to push the banner to the VERY, VERY bottom of the page. Then, if you put some text around the banner, it takes away the advertiser's credibility and makes you look good. Remember - the more BR tags you put in, the lower down on the page it will be! Check it out:

Webprovider got hip to our original little "hijack the window" trick. So, it's back to the drawing board! They added a new feature of random number generation that gives your Javascript Popup Ad window a unique name everytime it opens. Even on the same site, each page will generate a different number. This is very hard to create a generic script that will kill them all. A side note - they named their new window "now_what_" almost as if the programmers found a site using one of our hacks and shaking his head said out-loud: "Aw, now what?!?!" But, if you try altering the script, they re-write the code to say "nice_try". It's really annoying!

In the meantime, you might want to check out Bill Webb's site: Counterexploitation and the Free Webpage Provider. He's got some additional info on Webprovider sites. As soon as we get a new solution, you know I'll post it here first! Stay tuned....
