V3 - The Internet Identity Company (URL Redirects)
There are no more forced Popup Ads on your page! By popular demand V3 URLS (come.to) has changed the way they offer advertising. When they were first getting started they didn't have ads. But, this doesn't really pay the bills. So, in August of 1999 they started to automatically place Popup Ads on their users homepages. A lot of people were not very happy. The nice thing about V3 URLS is: THEY LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS! After people wrote and said that they didn't want Popup Ads anymore, V3 URLS changed their policy. Now, when you sign-up for a V3 URL, the default is to place their ad in a small frame either at the top or bottom (you choose) of your page. So, if you have a Popup Ad on your V3 URL and you would like to get rid of it- go into your preferences and change it to a Frame instead! Here is a quote from
the creator of the V3 URLS: Please write to Boris and tell him: "thanks for letting the users choose": boris@come.to [ Back to the Main Listing ] |
