Description- Spree offers free web space so you can open your own online store. They have a bunch of other stores, and if you shop at their stores, you get money back. It's kind of like a "shoppers club" with free homepages.

This fix disables the popups and banner ads with some conveniently placed NOSCRIPT tags. The only disadvantage is that with your BODY surrounded by NOSCRIPT tags, you can't use Javascript in your page. But, if you weren't planning on using Javascript anyway, then maybe this script could be for you. Check it out:

The method above is the "illegal" method for eliminating the ads. If you want to "legally" get rid of the ads, you can change this under your preferences or when you sign up. Just click on the button that says "Site Features" then click on "Switch the way ads are displayed". You are offered the choice between banner ads, or Popup ads. If you put the banner on your page you won't get a Popup ad, and Spree won't delete your page for breaking the rules.

* Note- James mentioned in his message: "It seems that Spree will delete the noscript tags on some accounts, but not all". The solution works for him, and then I signed up for an account and this solution worked for me.
