Hey Popup Killers!

Unfortunately this site has started to take WAY too much of my time again. So, as of now, (October 12th, 1999) the site is officially FROZEN. But, fear not, someone new is coming to take my place. He will update the site on a regular basis and provide the anti-popup community with a place to get their info. Sorry that I couldn't make the chat on October llth, but my life has been REALLY busy now. I am involved in a heavy side-project and was not able to make it. bottom line: I don't have the time to update this site anymore!

I still believe in the cause, and I still hate Popup Ads! And, in the time that we were around two companies (ProHosting and V3 URLS) switched to a non-forced Popup Ad Policy. Proving that you really CAN make a difference if you try. Not too shabby! I am still with you in spirit, but I am unable to update my site on a weekly (or even monthly) basis anymore.

I've set up the forums as a place where YOU the users can still discuss killing Popup Ads. And, my site will remain at this domain for an indefinite time period. The exact methods for killing Popup Ads may (and probably will!) change in the future. But, the idea of killing them still remains! Basically it is all about "Hacking Life"! This site is about more than just using Javascript to kill ads. It's about saying - "I don't have to put up with your bullshit because you tell me to!" It's about reverse-engineering, and finding loop-holes! It's about FREE-THINKING!

Although my site will not be updated anymore, I encourage ALL of you to learn to hack! Don't just learn to do the bare minimum and leave it at that. Figure out how it works... and even better: WHY it works! Then, you will have the knowledge to take it apart and rebuild it for yourselves! If you want to explore more on the idea of reverse-engineering in life I highly recommend Fravia's Pages of Reverse Engineering. Then, you can hack more than Popup windows. Learn how to hack life!

Finally, I encourage all of you to continue to use the ideas here and post new ones of your own in our ANTI-POPUP FORUM. I will stop back from time to time to see how it's going. The new Webmaster has been chosen, and he will start setting up shop on his server. When all is ready I will start to redirect to him. Stay tuned....
