reciting each line with such accuracy
as if she was in the movie
soon, the movie ended

slowly dried up,

i pulled her close
and with our eyes fixed on each other

sharing a passionate moment
we kissed during the chorus

AFTERMATH
our time together ended too soon
i'm home now, alone
she may only be a few miles away
but we are truly worlds apart
our love is abundant
but our time, scarce
why must i be allowed to only have
a scant taste of paradise?
the perpetual leash around my neck is tugged
and i am torn away from her
i talk to a picture of her
