i've shed tears for your death
we had some good times
but some of my tears
have been for myself
for the fact that
i am not immortal
and life can be ripped away at any moment
and it took your death
to make me realize this
so i mourn your loss
and the eventual loss of myself
and i cry becos i know everyone will eventually travel the same path that you took so early
when we cry for others, we're crying for ourselves
