the light is bright
it burns my eyes
sounds are muffled
but i don't hear the cries
it's warm out here
underneath the sun
a drastic change
from where i've begun
the darkness has passed
the sun shines through
i can see now, how to go on
it's time for something new
the memories are dark
they still carry pain
but i can't let them stop me
from living again
