Simple Solution

Like a bird trying to fly
in a hurricane
Like a kitten
standing out in the rain
I found you huddled in a corner,
abandoned, cold, and afraid.

Scared to stand up,
too terrified to move.
I held out my hand
for you to grab onto
not knowing that that was something
you could not do.

I stood there patiently
for what seemed like forever.
I finally got tired
and frustration set in.
Looking at you, so frail and thin
I just wanted to heal the pain within.

There was nothing else
left to do
So I just sat down
next to you.
I was just takin a little break
tryin to think of what to do next
And I figured out,
it wasn't that complex,
cause you laid your head
on my shoulder
and the tears poured like rain
And that's how easy it was
to stop the pain.
