Standing at the shore
at the ocean of adulthood
I am wondering if I
should only dip my toes in
I am afraid of drowning
in a tide of responsibilities
Or should I dive right in
to the freedom I’ve always desired
But right now I’m waiting
on the shoreline, until a time
when enough courage is
mustered for me to wade in. |
