We just woke up one morning
and they were all gone
We did not know where
Our older brother and sisters went to
We did not know that they
Ran away at that moment
But if I did then I would have
asked them so ever nicely
for me to go with them
But I don’t know what
They ran away for
we were a happy family
just the 4 of us kids
we never had any problems
or had any fights
so why did they need
to run away from us
Matthew told me that
it was all because of Momma
and it was all her fault
and now that Daddy
has a bigger house
then they can come live with him
and it will be ok
But not Monique and I
We are just to young
to go with them
so we get to live with Momma
when they live with Daddy
But Everytime we go to Daddies
I see them over there and I see
How much happier that
All of them are
and I can’t help but wonder
what if I could go
