My mom and my dad
Are not getting along to well
I hear them fighting

To see if I am all right
and then she will hold me

They have to fight
and scream at each other
we were all happy here
for such a long time
But times have changed now
and so have our lives
I heard Matthew say
that they are getting a divorce
and daddy is going away
and may never come back
that makes me cry
just thinking that
I will never be able
to see my daddy again
Daddy don’t leave
Please just stay
Things can get better
we will all try hard

I don’t know what
the word divorce means
But I can already tell you
I don’t like it
But Alison tells me
it will all be ok
