Today marks a day
That is very important
to my whole family
It marks my
Very first birthday
Placing all of these
Great big boxes
right in front of me
than opening them
Because I can’t
Then they give me
A brand new gift
That I have
No little clue
What it really is
But my mommy
and my daddy both know
and thank everyone
for giving me a gift
Then they take this
little black thing
with a really bright
flash on it
I don’t understand
But the bright light
Always hurts my poor eyes
Then they all start singing
and place a something
In front of me
and give me
A section of it
Yummy I don’t know
What this is
But it sure taste
Very very good
Today is a day
that I will
never seem to forget
It is my very
First birthday
someday I will
