Welcome home

Leaving the place I was born
Without even feeling
The littlest bit of guilt
That is still A feeling
That is so many years away

Into a car
Carefully placed
Into my mothers lap
Wrapped tightly in a blanket
I don’t know where
I am going to next

Down the driveway
To my new home
Welcome home my father
Must have told me
But words meant nothing
to me at this time

But I faintly feel
As If I belong some where
This placed might be new
But I felt like
I have been here for years
To bad I was a baby
And to young to understand
