Eyes That Saw The Silent Spring

From that mouth flowed everything.
Eyes that saw the silent spring
Now rest in sockets underground
Absorbing energy and sound.

All our problems, far from fixed,
Forgotten yet, made to forget.
A mass array of troubles past,
Hid underground, now made to last.

It runs right thru it,
Wide and unclean
Leaking into everything.

Eyes that saw the silent spring
Are buried next to broken wings.

Corrupted by so many things,
We offer cash to meet our means,
Captured in the fool's machine,
Draining life from every stream.
