Angel

She lies in bed,
Cold and alone,
Her mind wandering, and wondering,
What dice were thrown,
And who told them her roll anyway?
No lulliby sooths her quite so well,
As would a mourning,
At least, not tonight,
Because sometimes she dreams of sleeping,
With beggars and kings,
And dancing on eternity,
Or spitting in His face,
Because His test is to long,
And the questions to many,
And the truth is,
She knows that no answer is right anyway.
So she sits on her bed,
And stays for Dawn,
Because sometimes her darkness,
Is the only light,
She has to keep moving by,
And sometimes,
When even that isn't enough,
And she really understands Juliet's choice,
She can't help but wonder,
Why?
