brilliant sunshine
and beautiful blue skies
have replaced the endless night
in which she lived
and from her eyes
the pain and fear
have disappeared
and in their place
a happy glow lights up her face
and people near her
can't understand
what caused the change
that has taken place
but they are happy
that she is happy
at last

a knight in gleaming silver armour
has slain the dragon
that held her trapped
in darkness
an unlikely knight
in the form of a green and yellow pill
and perhaps a boy named jack
and she is entirely unworthy
of the three angels
sent down from heaven to save her
they are all that is goodness and sweetness and light
she gets down on her knees and thanks god
because life has never been so beautiful |
