More Desire Than Your Heart Can Handle

so is he your perfect man?
is he the outlaw that you dream of?
is his hair spiked from the tops
of his determined head?
is he the rebel of your need?
does his handsome face scare you?
does it beckon you for a taste?
just slide your tongue in and...

i'm too scared
i can't see straight
everything i have for you
why does it seem like such a waste?
i couldn't touch what i dream of
but i want to
i want him, too

but you want more than that heart
you wish not to break mine apart, i know
it's not a fragile glass-like box
full of red luminosity
i can take so much heat
i can boil more than your desire might think
does he summon you in your sleep?
does he call out with his fingers, deep?

i'm running
i can't look back
i can't see further than that face
further than the way you might react
i can't see you anymore
all i see his him, his visage
a facade?
the grooves in his cheeks
such a beautiful face

shh, be silent and sleep
let him come to you in dreams
let him touch more than your heart
unload the weight of your shoulders
in the weight of his crotch

i can't
i won't
i want
i will
i'll always remember you
