Demensia: The Crash Beneath the Sea

yes i can feel it eating
slowly decaying
burning deep in a vessel
burning deep in this vessel

singeing away
and tearing away

what was left to this day
it's tearing away
what has been
and what will be
what is always coming back for me

it tears away
and burns away
i can feel it creeping nearer
i can feel it drawing closer
ever closer to this ship
tearing it and tearing it

i know the ghost

i can feel the ghost breaking through
taking water
letting in
and there i am
waiting for you

sneaking through the hallow gallows
wondering through the old creaking wood
waiting there for you to come
but it is the ghost lying beside me

and i am waiting there for you
i am waiting in the quarters
in the empty, hallow gallows

on the mast the flag of red
slumps under the weight of water
slumps under the crushing need
to wade to the surface
to float out from beneath

but demensia, she waits for me

and there i am
in the water
under the stones
writhing and turning
waiting for a chance breathe

and bubbles float to the top, my ceiling
and demensia laughs
and demensia breathes, mocking me

in the cold is where i be
my face turned to blue
my flesh to a sickly color of blue

in the cold i lay
sheltered from the warmth of day
drowned of breath and will to live
my body slumps beneath these ribs
waiting at the bottom

bronze and copper nickels
pieces of gold and eight
wishes and dreams
tossed aside
on top of me
your wishes and dreams tossed aside for me to see

and here i am
an ocean full of nothing

and there i run from her
but demensia
demensia, you are all i hear

running from demensia
hiding in the gallow
with the dead and old cracked wood

she sleeps next to me
in my quarters
under my sheets
and in my dreams

and oh what deathly, sickly dream
more than just a ship
hiding in this ocean
an ocean full of me

i am waiting at the bottom
waiting in the ocean
an ocean full me

a ship without a captain
is a ship sure to sink
a ship sure to meet its end
is a ship beneath this sea

i am waiting there for you
in the wood is where i've been

hiding from demensia
gnawing and tearing and broken
beneath this heavy ocean

the ship in which i be
demensia, the queen of the seven seas
the ship without the captain
demensia, the wreck of the sea

and onward i look
from under this broken rib

oh demensia, why have you come for me?
queen of disasters
hiding in the sea

and onward i look
oh onward i see
the ship forever crashing
onto me

oh demensia,the ship headed nowhere
i am your captain
forever with thee

forever directing your course
you're forever directing me

oh demensia
you are forever holding me
oh demensia
queen of all i be
