Scared children.

Your smile burns holes in my confidence
your laugh encorages me to hide
a lump of dispair lodges in my throat
I wince at the pain of your eyes.

Freinds, undauted, taunt me
mock me for seeing past your skin
hiding beneath your vail of fun
a scared child huddles in the corner

Mabey I'm the one that scares you
my smile makes you turn away
my laughter melts your soul
my eyes pull at your heart

You see me, a scared child
looking for cover.
