Shattered Glass on Asphalt (Short Story)

bShattered Glass on Asphalt b

It lays there Sleeping And I just know I can get it, just know that I could so easily grasp and rescue the iridescent pupils surrounded but not overcome by the dark.
And the wind in my nostrils fills me; the clean wind, the clean air, far above the stench and sweat of down below And the wind fills me; and I could take off In a second Airborn, with my jewels in palm taken with the knowledge of the world completed. Infinite, impervious Invincible If just seeing it if just witnessing it makes me this way what will it be like to hold it?
And the feel of my reflection is cold to the touch, Smudged by my warmth The thin haze between Us, me and my shiny pieces with their knowledge of the world, is gone Knife slash. Hand through. Gone. Hand through. Rope split. Hand through. It glitters so
And I know that in a second in a split split second I'll be there I'll be perfection I'll know what I'm doing and it will all make everything so clear and my iridescent pupils my jewels my slivers of perfection they will be me they will be my comfort they will show me how to live and then, then I'll laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh at you you you and I'll not stop laughing for all the times you laughed you laughed at me
me and my little pieces of heaven we'll be perfection I'll fly I'll fly and it will all be so iridescently eye openingly painstakingly clear so clear and I'll fly and laugh and laugh and fly at you
the wind is around me, through me feels so good on an imperfect face pouring out just a little bit farther just a little bit more
just a little bit farther
just a little bit more
leaning pushing trying
fulfillment completion perfection?
