Wonderland

This is inspired by blueluke, and since he changed his poem, I didn't think he'd mind if I borrowed the phrase "the will of wonderland".

bWonderland/b

Plasticine faces beaming impersonal,
Impossibly unoriginal thoughts;
Plastic-coated goblets gleaming
Corn-haired mannequins pouring shots.

They dredge across the floor;
Sweat beads coat bare skin
Leaving trails of slimy damp
Bodied painstakingly thin.

Emaciated grasping fingertips
Ricochet against heavy air
Obscure round eyes pool in dust
Vanquishing tongues with a bodiless stare.

Sweet arsenic turns, loathing the perfection
Sipped by the flawed on high
Pungent atmosphere, a cloud so strongly burning
Crawling into tainted lungs and euphoria vies…

Screens flicker warmth-
Red light holds my hand;
Sleepily succumbing once more
To the will of wonderland.
