Idolatry

Broken bodies weeping through spiritless air
Honeyed milk feedings from the breast of the slain
Convulsing cadavers crying for water
A sound full of realism to the point of pain.

A body once loved can never be repaired
You had to be the one to play the lamb
Didn't know martyrdom could ache as much
Especially when no one here ever gave a damn.

Surveying the circumstances pitilessly
For what can be done when the best is flawed?
Tearing uncontrollably, the blame is yours
For it was you
Who crowned me God.
