Cacoon

Cacoon

You wrap yourself in a shelter
Hiding, waiting, wanting
Never leaving the warmth
Never experiencing the outside

Bundled up inside is not shelter
Not a shield or a place to hide
It is a cage
One from which you cannot escape

Now your cacoon
Has become your prison
How does it feel to be imprisoned?
Without hope, stuck in a cacoon.
