Dry Wall

Amy kicked the dry wall today.
She said she didn't give a damn anymore.
Who do I turn to when Amy gives up?
Fragments trickled to the ground

Amy kicked the dry wall today.
She said that no one cares about kids like us.
Who do I tell that nobody cares?
Spider-webbed cracks spread throughout

Amy kicked the dry wall today.
She said she hoped she would die and I would, too.
What do I do when my hero fails?
A hole had begun to form.

Mom kicked my sister today.
She said we deserved it for ru'ning her wall.
What do I do when Amy was right?
She kicked a hole in my heart.

Amy kicked the dry wall today
She said mom deserved it for leaving us here.
What do I do when there's no hope left?
I just kicked the dry wall, too.
