Hanging up I listen to the hollow sound of the empty tone, The hollow drone down the phone, It tells me that you’re not listening anymore. Turned your back on me and walked out just like before, I choke on the thought, if it was meant to be. You’ve let me go and told me to be free. But there’s no way I can let you go, So this is my one last poem to let you know, I wont be there tomorrow, I leave hearts full of sorrow. But that’s better than the pain suffered here. Your eyes are dry, apart from a single tear, Not even when you know what you did. Its all over I have closed the lid. Finished: 12/2/03
