A good way to verbalize how I feel is, 'being at war.' War is senseless, bloody, and violent by nature and to the core. War tears apart hopes and dreams of entire nations from universal perspectives down to the morale of each heart that goes out desperately seeking peace.
Is it a solution? No.
Is it rational? No.
Has the humanity of war gotten any better since the pillage, the brutal slaying and murder of Rome? No.
The unreal numbers of needless killings do not phase our war seasoned minds. The holocaust is merely a history lesson. But every life that was taken was mourned deeply by loved ones....by someone.
The grief upon a scale is immeasurable because in our world, lives are dispensable by governments and the grief in our hearts in meaningless and holds no weight. Unless, of course, there is an opportunity for media gain, another anonymous tear streaked face plastered all over the news. Death to our world is nothing but the top story at 6 o'clock.
