This is a story of a girl named Sue A ballad to her which has been long overdue The tale you'll hear you'll surely admire And hopefuly a new meaning of life from it will transpire
This girl had a love and his name was Matt He loved her the same, but he was a jealous twat 'Highschool sweethearts, forever they'll be' That's what everyong always told me
Senior year, time to move on Susy told Matt he had to be gone Her life was changing, quickly she said But Matt's life was moving slower than the dead's!
"I've found someone new on this college trip He's a lot like you, but much more hip He's in a band and wears cool clothes And like you, he'll listen to my sorrow and woes"
Matt was upset he was losing his sweetheart The anger inside was tearing him apart He wanted revenge on the one who took his soul And her new boyfriend whose name was Joel
So one dark, gloomy night he snuck out of the house Climbed to her window as quiet as a mouse Opened it a crack and prayed she did not wake While she was sleeping her life he would take
He pulled out a knife and it shined from the moonlight Lunged it in her chest, she could not put up a fight Her eyes usually bright, widened with fear As her last moments drew ever so near
He went to the college and found Joel's room Smashed through the door with a nearby broom He woke with a start and ran for a knife But he wasn't as quick and Matt took his life
So what is the moral of this story you ask Dont rush into love, it might not last Highschool "lovers" one in prison and one now dead All because of a lie they had been fed |
