Drowning in a sea of fury,
Waves of anger all around.
Sinking into unyielding darkness,
Fall on a rock-hard ground.
Airless corpse sinking slowly,
Down into a watery grave.
Wisps of bubbles escaping me,
Rising to a placid surface.
Settling in the eyes of the storm,
Agonized lapping against my skin.
I close my eyes and just let go,
Buried deep within.
Mind settling into the silt,
Resting in a cloak of black.
Body broken, lying limp,
Boneless flesh of shattered dreams.
Images fading into the mist,
A fog of comfort calming me.
Yet dreamless sleep hovers there,
Out of my reach, making me stay.
They boil again, the eye is passed,
And now the steam is rising.
Searing my skin once again,
The flames of hatred burning.
An unquenched thirst lingers there,
Keeping me here, on this plane.
I break the surface,
Ripple spreading.
Burning air streams into my lungs,
Fires of fury burn in my eyes.
A whispered curse comes from my lips,
As another suicide fails. |
