The Grandma I Despise

You said you had good intentions
That it came from the heart
Was it for you just to start all over
Try to be the perfect grandmother
No matter how hard you try
You will always make me cry
You’re never, you’re over there
So why do I waste tears
On someone who pretends to care
You’re not even near

You don’t know anything about who I am
Or what I want to be
You’re stuck in the past
With the little me
When will you realize that your grand-daughter’s life
Is flashing before your very eyes
And all you got to be was,
The grandma I despise
