Bright Lights In The City

Rolling on by
Past the scent you once smelled
Cannot you remember what you once felt?
Cannot this dream be awoken from?
The tears in you eyes
Show the sorrow
And lies
But the smile in your voice shows
The Joy
A Girl or a Boy, it matters not
For once upon a time
This was not what was thought
Cannot the burdon be replaced?
The misery and neglect taken away?
Cannot those sweetly salted tears
Start a revolution?
Open your ears
And your eyes my dear
Sprinkled with the red emotionless lives
Of the ones who've always had to lie
Cannot you realize?
Cannot you see the downfall of rome in your childs eyes?
What may result in contemplationi?
Cannot you heare the cry
So shrill
This life no longer is
A thrill
Cannot you feel hands upon your face?
The sound in the air screams "Fallout"
For this soul is gone
Cannot you wake up to the dawn?
And smile when you say
ihave a wonderful day/i
Cannot this body rest in peace
Cannot you see? And let this be
Destructiveness is objected
And underage productive thought is
Overruled
Cannot you be less cruel?
