Here's a little ditty
its about a little boy
he went out playing one day
and he lost his favourite toy
he searched all round the house
in the streets and in the park
he searched all through the daytime
and even searched right after dark
he'd search out in the sunshine
in the wind and in the rain
he tried to play with other toys
but they just weren't the same
then one summers afternoon
a strange young lady stopped to say
little boy why do you search
on such a lovely summers day?
he told the tale of the missing toy
the lady nodded thoughtfully
she reached in her bag and drew something out
which made the boy smile gleefully
it was a bear, his favourite toy
with soft blue fur and button eyes
he thanked the lady and ran back home
to show his mother this special surprise
she was happy for her son
as was the little boys father
he made friends with the strange young lady
and they all played happily ever after!! |
