Never Would've Thought

Never would've thought,
That this would be me,
I am the one for respect,
For self confidence,
And no peer-pressure,

And yet, here I am,
With a knife in my hand,
Ready to draw blood,
From my own skin,
Ready to add more scars,

I never understood,
When I was younger,
How pleasure was found in pain,
Always thought, that would never,
Ever, apply to me,

Never would've thought,
That this would be me,
I am the one against war,
Against violence in general,
Say no to the blood, the gore, the injury,

And yet, here I am,
With a mind set to kill,
All of humanity,
In one single blast,
If only I could,

When I was younger,
I preached respect,
Respect for all,
Respect for humanity,
I said all deserved our help,

I never would've thought,
But here I am,
My morals are gone,
And I have a knife and a mind,
And I am not afraid to use them.
