Another night I dreamt
Wild and vividly
music, candles, silk
A ball, grand, entertaining
swirls, flashes, sashes
of rich pruple, blue, and crimson
Mahogany floor, vaulted ceiling
dancing, swirling, spinning
Changing partners
Quick procession
Masked faces
Here a bird, there a clown
Once a horse, then a flower,
Time spinning, feat beating
hands changing
heart beating
Away the seconds tick
one by one.
Smiles, wine, spinning
Time stops
A hand catches mine
Green eyes look deep
Swallow my soul
in one gaze
A fox is grinning at me
A beautiful fox
Swift and sly and kind and fleet
He steals my heart
We twirl, we soar
Two hearts harmonizing
in perfect rythm
We are one
I am lost
in his eyes
My puzzle has
found the missing piece
All the sides fit
There is no break
The music stops
As did the dream
Did we part?
Where is he?
When will I find him?
The fox of my dreams
