What's the point in dreaming, if dreams never come true?
You try so hard at pursuing them, but there's nothing you can do.
There is always going to be some fucking obstacle in the way,
Uh oh, we're screwed, democracy is here to stay.
There are some talkented people that will never get their chance in life,
Money makes the world go around, but causes far too much strife.
What happened to educational funding for the prosperity of the youth,
Can't anyone comprehend and see the underlying truth?
Some people in this fucked up world work their hardest each day,
But in time will never, ever get re-paid.
Teens these days encounter false promises, hopes, and dreams,
Due to lack of support; nobody knows how much this really means.
With some people, their only wish in life is to succeed,
Facing off with their hardships, and taking the lead.
Too bad society these days favors the upper class,
In my view, America can just kiss my ass!
I'm just a kid with a dream, which will never be fulfilled,
Taking these setbacks, while all in all my struggling heart is being killed.
Doesn't anyone realize I am begging on my knees,
I so badly want to succeed, just help me out PLEASE! |
