Blind

I'll try to explain this in words you'll understand,
These days, friendship seems to be in high demand.
Although you say we're as close as we are,
It isn't possible that I could feel more far.

Far away from you, its as if you don't know me at all,
I feel like I am standing, yet I seem very small.
Like a miniscule part of your everlasting life,
Obviously I am causing you far too much strife.

I know you're entitled to have other friends,
It's just hurtful, I feel as though I'm part of a trend.
Used by many, but forgotten in the end,
Your actions make cuts that just cannot mend.

I think of you as my sister, disconnected by blood,
We were made of the same earth, which has now sunk to mud.
Our friendship dissolving right here in front of my eyes,
Too bad you don't see me when I cry.
