With deception and lies,
If they really deserve to know,
They'll have to earn his trust,
But when they do,
Deception is the greatest must,
Protecting their feelings,
At the expense of his own,
Has him feeling empty and alone,
But their feelings are worth the lies,
So he hides all his hurt,
