Cycle

Would you love me if I lied?
Would you kiss me if I died?
Scars run down your arms so fine,
Eyes so deadly, they could live a life of crime.

Beauty shimmers,
My thoughts grow dimmer,
The spotlight shines on you,
My heart is racing; it’s going to explode soon.

Our lies bind us together,
Sweet knives in our backs,
Replaying the action forever.

First I stab you,
The you stab me,
Never ending,
Never free.

From this cycle,
This succession of pain,
This sequence of pleasure,
This cycle that makes no sense to my brain…
