Can I find death in those eyes?
I ask as the blackness surrounds me with its deep kiss.
Soft breaths swirl around death’s dark robed figure. I stare as she reaches out with lissome fingers to grasp my heart, which she has so deceitfully won. Leaving me helpless.
Breath becomes quick and thin, so much flashes before my eyes, life love hate joy, and all becomes lost in a sea of hopelessness.
And with my final, wasteful breath on this world wrought with pain I ask, Can I find death in those eyes? |
