You say, “I love you”
Then you look away,
You build up my hopes,
Then shatter them each day.

We hold hands,
And I look into your eyes,
But they aren’t even real,
Like some kind of disguise,

Are you real?
Though I can feel your hand,
Intertwined with mine,
And time slips from my grasp,

Do you care for me?
As much as I care for you,
But I guess you won’t tell me,
Won’t you?
