Candlelight Tryst

Candles light the midnight sky,
A favorite color of mine,
Moonlight lost, covered by trees,
Wind whispering a seductive breeze,
I run through the night,
Alive with fright,
The wind embracing me,
Tempting my throat to sing,
A song of everlasting joy,
But I’m just a boy,
I have no use for song,
But to say that would be wrong,
I yearn to hear my favorite bands,
I think they’re the coolest in all the land,
But that’s my opinion and that’s ok,
Your entitled to what you say,
The night rips me from my thoughts,
I’ve now found what I have sought,
A clearing with a figure standing under the moon,
I’ll be next to the figure soon,
Embracing her body with mine,
Until the very end of time,
If I didn’t know you I would be embarrassed,
You would probably feel very harassed,
But I know you,
And you know me,
So we’re free,
To be what we want to be,
Lovers if we want,
Friends if we need,
Our friendship will last forever indeed.
