These are the things that I remember...

These are the things that I remember...

Chasing trains down the railroad tracks and screaming...
"Jihad! Jihad! Jesus is a freaking Jew!"
With the Messiah in tow hurling rocks at oncoming cars...

I remember...

Crawling under ragged sheets sticky with sweat and ash
Moaning insipid curses into an holy ear while touching
Tongues with tongues…hips to hips…and staring eye to eye…

I remember…

Curling up beneath a neon sign and heaving
Leaving life … the effects of drinking and one too many falls of knee
On broken glass and glittering pavement…(the afterbirth of whores)…

I remember…

Compromising the better parts of integrity and cutting lines
Across the dresser, along the mirror, and over my veins
Spots over snow…blood over angel white…

I remember…

Crucifying in the maddest moment my god incarnate
Damned by the wrong and holy accused…
Losing my soul in the midst of salvation and sipping too much vinegar mingled wine…(intoxication is an addicting sin)…

I remember…

Compromising…
Killing you to save myself...

And these are the things that I no longer want to remember...
