A Sprinkling of Reasoning Amidst a Drought

Bad poetry of the magnetic type….God bless those little words…

A Sprinkling of Reasoning Amidst a Drought

(I still have my doubts…)

The storm was quite expected
Yet
She still screamed
While dipping her toes into
A forming pool of sordid water
And rubbing her way
Across my left thigh…

I frowned at her rather boring
(Monotonous for lack of better words)
Display of faked affection…
Ignoring giggles and slips
Of a pretty pink tongue…

“Hopeless”
She sighed
Watching our paper-thin farce of a relationship
Flake
And melt away…

I mumbled something nearly
Unintelligible
And grabbed her hand
Leaving a kiss of something far greater
Than a fond farewell…

“Tomorrow?”
She asked and reached up
To bite my lip and lick my chin
Making sure to stop two seconds short
Of devouring my entire face…

I broke away with a slight nod
And trotted off down the street
Mind, body, and soul
Oblivious to absolutely everything…
Save my shoes,
Who had that overwhelming desire
To dive and splash toe first
Into those puddles
Of filthy
Filthy rain...
