Bysal

My beautiful Siamese tiger,

Break the eternal rhythm
And inform the jovial public
That affection is by no means forever.

Devour their vague senses avariciously.

Meow,
Then whisper delicately into the ears of mice
Linger seductively in their laps…
All the while stroking purple whiskers.

Feline eyes gleam in overtones of black
Interlaced with gold.

Scratches cover the wall
Pulling blood,
Until anger subsides and the haze settles….

Turning ill-fated dusk into a welcoming dawn.
