I’ve taken off my shoes today
And put on another pair
A life I never thought I could live
One that I’ll never share
I stole these shoes from no one else
I don’t let them exist inside my mind
I’ve decided they’ve fallen off the earth
Never to claim the fortune I may find
I left my old shoes someplace else
Hoping a fool just may walk by
Stumbling into the soles of my world
