I guess my life isn’t as hopeless
As I thought it would be
I can see that there are worse things
In the newspaper and on TV
And that god has his own unique way
To make things turn out right
And I guess that we all just have to take it
If it somehow has any effect on our life
And now even as this generation is drowning
And making it’s way down a blackened hole
I guess we will go down with it
But hey shit happens, that’s our role
And we will all die someday
There is no immunity
Except for the heroes that live on
But even as the legends change
Those heroes will soon be gone
So now I know my place in life
And what it is that I must do
I will die but always live on forever
As my memories will too |
