Ghost of Elizabeth

Down and out
she sits on her bed
knees tucked in
head down
tears stream down her cheek
they pool in a little creavas
made by her weight
she feels empty
hungry and worthless
her body just got thinner
but her image she saw
just got bigger
her freinds forgot her
her mother
couldn't handle it
her father was too busy
so they threw her
in a hospital
that would
have to tolerate her
She has never been visited
nor has ever got a call
all she has is a picture
in it she sees a pale little girl
herself
she is a ghost
a memory
of when times
were happy
and all was good
but here she will die
alone
and sadly
forgotten
but all they can say
is poor Elizabeth
