Welcome

It was dark
On the beach
Strangers walking along
On different paths
Your eyes were glistening
From the moonlight
As silent waves in the
Distance crashed
I turned around twice
As I walked by your side
And in the instantaneous moment
We caught each other's eye
A greeting without words
An unexpected turn
The moon was only light enough
To see your face
And in my memory
Your face was burned
The breeze was singing
A sweet sweet tune
As I walked back by
And in that moment
You were taken up
Inside my world
Not knowing it
At the time
Do I need to welcome you
Or have you found it on your own
Have you made yourself aquainted
With the places in my home
A welcome is not expected
And my home is unprotected
So be careful
For I may wilt away
Before the morning
Light welcomes us both
I am not very good
At staying anymore
It seems I've lost my hope
Can you help me find it
Can I try to welcome you again
Your on my mind as of now
If I welcome you though
In my home
You may not find an end!
