(9-14-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• The NIN album, right now, is said to have a release date in early '99, possibly February. It keeps getting pushed back, so nobody knows. Recently during MTv's Video Music Awards, NIN ran a short commercial. You can read a brand new article that contains details about the commercial, or go here to download it in various formats.

• Manson's Mechanical Animals is released tomorrow.

(8-8-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• The Fragile- now double CD (most likely...so says Reznor in Raygun issue 58), is due out mid November (hopefully).

• Manson's new album, Mechanical Animals, is due out September 15. The first single, Dope Show, is already being played on alternative radio. There was a site that had an MP3 of it up, and I'd link to it, but... you guessed it, the site was taken down. I'd post the song for you guys, but I don't want my site taken down as well. Ack.

• Korn's new album, the name escapes me, is due out August 18.

(7-20-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Old news, but Trent's AOL account was hacked into recently by an Amber Appelbaum of Georgia. The screen name was MTRez, however, the name no longer exists. Read all about it at Rolling Stone's online article.

• And for album releases.. sadly, both the NIN and Manson albums are officially scheduled for a November release. This info is directly from Interscope records, and the source is SLS News.

(5-29-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Andy Kubiszewski, the drummer for Stabbing Westward, broke his collarbone while roller-blading. Chris Vrenna, of NIN, will play for him in 3 SW shows. They are:

June 7th- Kansas City radio show.
June 12th- Los Angeles industry show.
June 13th- Sacramento radio show.

(5-26-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Trent Reznor will not have a song on the X-Files soundtrack afterall. Nine Inch Nails withdrew from participating. As for the clip that I have linked below on this page... I cannot say for sure that it was done by Trent.

• And just for a laugh (nothing to do with NIN)... white rapper extraordinaire, Vanilla Ice is scheduled to release a comeback album this fall entitled "Hard to Swallow." My only question is- why bother?

(5-24-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Trent wins an award, along with some other big-name artists at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards, held Monday (May 18) night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. (I've never heard of them either).

• On MTv's top 100 videos of the 90s, Nine Inch Nails' Closer came in at number 10. Trent was bested by the following:

9. Alanis Morisette - Ironic
8. Aerosmith - Cryin
7. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge
6. Puff Daddy - I'll Be Missing You
5. Metallica - Enter Sandman
4. Guns n Roses - November Rain
3. Beastie Boys - Sabatoge
2. ??? - ???
1. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

(5-21-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Okay, I'm a little late in reporting this, but the June 9 release date for halo 13 was a false rumor. There was no actual promo for the album. However, a new rumor originating from MTv is that the new album will have 30 to 40 songs...possibly a double CD set, with a lot of instrumentals. Remember, this is just a rumor. Whenever something is fact, I'll state it as fact.

(5-14-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Trent Reznor has lended his hand in mixing a track on the X-Files soundtrack. I'm not sure about any details, however. All I have is a short clip sent to me by ½dead and the pretty news machine. The clip is not the best quality either. Sorry for not having more details on this.

(5-11-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

Album release date- June 9, according to a popular rumor. Supposedly, a promo for the album is being released as we speak. Whether this is true or not is anyone's guess, but the source is "reliable." Hopefully soon someone will upload clips from the promo, if, in fact, it does exist. I'll keep you posted. By the way, this rumor has been repeated by several radio stations, but no one has confirmed it yet.

• It is rumored that Trent Reznor has helped on a song for the X-Files soundtrack. This is another rumor though, and isn't confirmed.

(4-30-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Killing Joke, the group, is releasing a remix album entitled "War Dance". What's the significance? Trent Reznor is contributing a remix for the album. (he's always doing side-projects!!). He has remixed a song called Democracy. The album is already out, but supposedly is difficult to find.

(4-22-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• For those of you who don't yet know, Trent Reznor has done a remix for Puff Daddy of the song Victory. Yes, you read that right, he remixed for Puff Daddy. But that's the old news. The new news is that the remix has been released, as of yesterday. Complete information, plus the downloadable song in RealAudio and MP3 format can be found at SLS NIN News, the best source of NIN news on the net.

(4-20-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• Trent Reznor has been named Hit Parader's most influencial rocker, who says "there's little doubt that Nine Inch Nails' leader still ranks as the most influential rocker in the world. In word, action and deed, Reznor remains hard rock's Renaissance man- the master of all he surverys." Hit Parader also reports that Reznor is having trouble with his record label, which I find hard to believe, and we know that Hit Parader has been known to report false information.

• The interview I posted a link to last week was supposed to be a part of New Blood Magazine's first issue, but the magazine never made it to the presses. The interviewer still swears that it is authentic. I guess it's up to you if you want to believe it or not. Personally, to me the interview seems believable.

(4-17-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• There is a Nine Inch Nails laser show in Seattle (for all those lucky enough to live in that area) at the Pacific Science Center. Cost? $6.25. How could you pass that up? The show is run by Laser Fantasy International. Click here to go to their site and get dates and times.

• The validity of the interview I mentioned yesterday has come into question. There seems to have been a discrepency when Trent talks about Wax Trax. I'll keep you posted on any news concerning this, but for now, just realize that the interview could possibly be a fake. (However, if it is, it's a damn good fake).

(4-16-98)                  nine inch nails news.....

• A new Trent Reznor interview containing lots of info has been found! Click here to go to it.

• The Tapeworm project has been nearly abandoned. Trent says nothing will come out of it any time soon. He also, for the first time, brought up Billy Corgan(of the Smashing Pumpkins) as a potential contributor to Tapeworm.
• The album release date could be as early as April. It's being held up do to arrangement and artwork, as well as corporate decisions.
• Trent says there will be a tour to accompany this album. Obviously, no dates are set yet. He will have to get some new people to play with him as well.
• About the album being pop- Trent said the album will be pop as PHM was pop. He didn't mean Hanson-type pop. [sigh of relief]

(4-15-98)                nine inch nails news.....

• A possible Trent Reznor e-mail address has surfaced. "noisypop98@aol.com". It's likely to be just a hoax though. I'll post more info when I get it.

By the way, the AOL profile for that screen name is:

Member Name:	Mike R.
Location:	New Orleans
Sex: Male
Computers:	Mac. Quadra, Packard Bell 330mhz
Personal Quote:	"I will always remember what it was like to be real..."

(4-8-98)                nine inch nails news.....

• Spin magazine has published its Top 40 Vital Artists of 1998 list. Last year, Trent was number 1 on the list. This year, he fell to number 4. Maybe that is an indication that he needs to start putting out some material if he wants to stay relavent. Trent was bested by: #1, Beck; #2, Radiohead; and #3, Missy Eliot.

(2-16-98)                nine inch nails news.....

• The alleged insiders talking on Yahoo's chat this evening yielded no new information, despite saying that they would. Oh well.

(2-10-98)                nine inch nails news.....

• NIN will not be headlining Lollapalooza this summer because they cannot be sure the album will be out by then.

(11-20-97)                nine inch nails news.....

• The double video set "Closure" has been released for a retail of around $20. The first video is a collection of live NIN performances. The second video is "all" (ie, most) of NIN's official music videos. These include Closer, Head Like a Hole, Pinion, Wish, Down in it, March of the Pigs, and Happiness in Slavery. The content of these videos is quite graphic at times, so use disgression. Parents, this video set doesn't make a good Christmas gift for young kids. ;-)
But still, they are a must-have for any NIN fan.

Patiently waiting for Halo 13......
