I just got diagnosed as very high on Schizotypal and high on Schizoid and Narcissist. I have always known that I was more than slightly socially awkward and that most people would rather not share my company. But, I did not expect to get a triple-play diagnosis (I do understand that this came from a web test and is not a credible diagnosis) with so many consonants.

My question is: what do you do about a personality disorder? It's not a mental illness, so I suspect this is not something for which I need to seek professional care. Is this something that you just try to understand and learn to live with? Or, can you change your stripes?

hey schizo. until a head strink gets you I wouldn't get all upside down.;) those tests are pretty decent though. The web test said I am very high for borderline, schizo and anxiety disorders. There were two other highs but did not pay attention to them. ( they are plastered in the forum somewhere ) Two I have already been proven to be true and the other has been mentioned.
I have been borderline personality for 30 years, just found out i get to add a disorganized schizo and an anxiety disorder to the list.

It's not so bad, at least now I can go around saying that "at least I am a cute schizo" ;) . not that my other off the wall remarks didnt make them laugh before, I just have new material :)
later ~

Just done the test that led me here I have to say I'm somewhat stunned...it looks like I'm dangerous and hyper but I spend most of my day on a settee on a laptop?

From your other thread it sounds like Schizophrenia, which isn't a disorder, so i would comtemplate seeking help if i were you.

@Sylus, you have nothing to worry about...

@Fatality Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder instead of a personality disorder

If they're few and far between then you could get away with not seeing anyone i guess
