"Fit" is way too broad. Many people are more than fit to survive, but definitely dont deserve to live, and vice versa.

No, I dont buy that garbage.

If survival of the fittest applied, everyone here would be dead.

Don't bother arguing, I'm right.

HEH! It could be argued that most people a couple centuries ago were mentally unstable and they did fine, or did they?

i guess it takes a little bit of craziness or be a bit mentally unstable to be someone famous. if u are just plain n normal , u'll just be an average person. take Michael Jackson for instance. Everyone on earth knows him n everyone on earth knows he had a bad childhood and he was mentally unstable.

He had a bad childhood because he always had to be at the studio and never had time to play with other kids or be a kid at all basically, but thats also how he got his skills and how he became famous. He didnt die because of his mental problems, but because he trusted the wrong doctor who had a large debt.

But seriously, I dont get the point of the thread. Survival of the fittest is bulls---, depending on what fit is.

How do you evaluate a good gene?

Take it how you want it, nature decide what the good genes are

In today's society, the unemployed have 20 kids on welfare while the intelligent careerists dont even have kids. Devolution? Depends on your point of view. Being lazy and unproductive is a successful trait.

Does nature include humankind as well? Why do so many parents who gave birth to a gifted WANT him to have a mental illness and do everything in their power to support their delusion, f---ing the kid up major in the process and turning him into a disturbed but intelligent serial killer, who couldve used his gifts to make a discovery, do something constructive.

Why do teachers push parents to get a mental diagnosis for a smart kid getting good grades?

Arguably these kids have good genes/are more evolved, but it doesnt stop people from trying to destroy their childhood and them in the long term.

Is this part of nature selecting good genes or am I missing the point of this bulls--- "fittest" philosophy.
